Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is seeking a highly motivated Promotion Officer to provide technical, logistical, and administrative support for the Export Promotion Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating export promotion activities, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and ensuring the effective implementation of trade events and promotional programs.

Below is an overview of the key responsibilities. A more comprehensive list will be determined based on the candidate’s experience.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Export Promotion and Business Development
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of departmental work plans and promotional activities.
    b. Support the planning and coordination of export promotion initiatives and business development programs.
    c. Assist in preparing project proposals, concept notes, RFPs, and other departmental activities.
    d. Engage with companies and stakeholders to promote participation in trade-related activities and services.
  3. Event Coordination and Trade Facilitation
  4. Coordinate local, regional, and international business development events, including B2B meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and networking activities.
    b. Recruit companies to participate in promotional activities and provide support throughout the registration and participation process.
    c. Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, transportation, permits, and other logistical requirements for participants.
    d. Liaise with service providers, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful event implementation.
  5. Stakeholder and Relationship Management
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with private sector companies, government institutions, and industry stakeholders.
    b. Maintain effective communication with company representatives and executive-level contacts to facilitate participation and collaboration.
    c. Support the development of partnerships and networks that contribute to export promotion objectives.
    d. Ensure a positive and professional relationship between PalTrade and all external stakeholders.
  7. Documentation, Reporting, and Data Management
  8. Maintain and regularly update participant databases and business contact records.
    b. Organize and maintain departmental documentation, records, and event files.
    c. Collect, verify, and process required participant documents before and after events.
    d. Prepare periodic reports, activity summaries, and correspondence in both Arabic and English.
  9. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Follow-up
  10. Follow up with participants before, during, and after events to ensure smooth implementation and participant satisfaction.
    b. Collect feedback and assess the benefits and outcomes of participation in promotional activities.
    c. Track activity results and provide recommendations for future improvements.
    d. Support monitoring and evaluation efforts related to departmental programs and events.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate Would Have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in customer relations, business development, event coordination, or trade promotion activities.
  • Experience coordinating projects or events involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Essential Abilities and Qualifications

  • Ability to use word processing software, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to write reports, prepare letters and translate official documents or other business communications.
  • Ability to negotiate offers with local and international service providers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to develop relationships/business networking.
  • Ability to handle pressure at work and perform under demanding situations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Client focus / Customer service.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong initiative, ability to work independently, and a self-starter.

 

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in event management, exhibitions, conferences, or international business activities.
    • Knowledge of export procedures, logistics, and trade facilitation practices.
    • Experience working with business support organizations, chambers of commerce, NGOs, or                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           development projects is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, and project management tools is desirable.
    • Strong networking and partnership development skills.
