PalTrade and the Ministry of National Economy Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Develop and Promote National Exports

Ramallah – 30 October 2025 – The Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) and the Ministry of National Economy signed today, Thursday, in the city of Ramallah, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in developing and promoting Palestinian national exports in regional and international markets.

The MoU was signed by Mohammad Al-Amoor, Minister of National Economy, and Ibrahim Barham, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PalTrade, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.

The MoU aims to take all necessary measures to develop and encourage the growth of Palestinian exports, thereby strengthening their presence in Arab, Islamic, and international markets, and opening new markets for national products in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The memorandum emphasizes the importance of joint programs to develop and promote national exports, exchange economic and trade information, and implement promotional activities in foreign markets — including international exhibitions, business meetings, trade and exploratory missions, and promotional campaigns for Palestinian products.

Minister Al-Amoor stated that the signing of the memorandum embodies the effective partnership between the public and private sectors, which serves as a key pillar in advancing the national economy. He highlighted the government’s reform agenda and readiness to provide all necessary services and facilities to support national exports and open new markets for them.

For his part, Ibrahim Barham noted that the memorandum reinforces the partnership in developing and promoting Palestinian exports, with a special focus on enabling small and micro enterprises to export. He pointed out the continuous increase in the number of exporting companies.

Barham added that PalTrade is studying the launch of a special support program for Gaza, affirming the center’s pride in its partnerships with local and international entities and its ongoing efforts to develop export promotion tools and integrate Palestinian products into global markets. He also underlined the importance of international exhibitions in strengthening the presence of national products abroad.
